Career Development Cell (CDC)

The Career Development Cell (CDC) at Indore Institute of Pharmacy is constituted for enhancing the employability quotient of the students by grooming them for soft skills, aptitude and English communication. 

PERSONALITY GROOMING

Career development cell provides communication classes to all students from entry level in all programs of Pharmacy. Personality grooming is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personalityin gaining confidence and high self-esteem. No two individuals are similar. Personality is nothing but the aggregate conglomeration of memories and incidents in an individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions, genetic factors, situations and circumstances also contribute to an individual’s personality. 

CDC cell is provided with dedicated classes during regular academic session along with crash course on a variety of allied areas including Expert lectures on grooming from time to time and sessions according to the time table. The students learn to improve on their Speaking skills, Reasoning, Group Discussions, Interview skills, Verbal Ability and crack Mock Tests in the course of time.

APTITUDE TRAINING

 CDC provides quantitative aptitude classes for all prefinal year students aspiring for good careers as well as those opting for higher studies including Government exams.As aptitude tests are considered to be the measure of general intelligence and majority of companies, institutions use aptitude tests as their selection criteria, therefore job-seekers especially freshersmust be well-versed with concepts related to aptitude. Most of the jobs in the corporate world require employees to expand their skill set through additional training. Aptitude tells about the mental ability and analytical skills ofindividuals. 

At the institute the students are trained in the following areas of Quantitative Aptitude Skills; • Reasoning; Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and speaking skills.

CAREER COUNSELING

 The objective of Career Counselling is to coach and tutor the students with respect to the different profession decisions available to them, as per their inclinations and qualities. This counselling helps students in making a roadmap of their career according to their choice to be successful.

HIGHER STUDIES

The cell is proactive in making students mindful and generates interest in students with respect to higher examinations through advising and directing them with the help of in-house and visiting specialists. The Cell offers particular Aptitude and English classes for GPAT, GRE and other competitive examination for the students.
